100% Martinborough Pinot Noir, grown on the alluvial gravel terraces for which the district has become famous.
The season was unusually cool and wetter than normal resulting in elegant restrained wines with lower alcohols. Hand harvested, hand plunged in open topped fermenters and handled using gravity where possible – minimum pumping used.
An immediately accessible wine, which will improve over the next 2 years. Fruit driven soft and approachable early in its life without the need for extended bottle ageing. An uncomplicated early drinking style of Pinot noir. Enjoy with full flavoured fish dishes, lamb or vegetarian plates.
